A Bohemian Style Table Scape You Can Put Together In a Pinch

There is nothing I love more than the rush of a last minute dinner party. Call me crazy but I thrive on that kind of stress. I know, weird right? One thing I don’t worry about too much with last minute parties is the table scape. As long as you follow some simple rules, pulling together a beautiful table on the drop of a hat can actually be pretty simple. That is why a Bohemian style table is my go-to for last minute get togethers. Nothing has to be perfect and certainly not matching. That’s actually the beauty of it! I love the imperfection of a bohemian theme. Everything just sort of works together organically without too much fuss and yet seems so intentional. You’re guests will love the relaxed vibe and you will look like the star that you are! Read on for my tips on creating a gorgeous fuss free Bohemian style table scape you and your guests will enjoy.

Start by adding a statement piece like this beaded table runner I used here. It could be anything from a sequin runner to even an extra large fun scarf you intertwine between your vases and florals. Anything that will make the table pop will do the trick.

I know Im super redundant but…FLORALS!!! Yes, this is the best time to experiment with different flowers and colors and textures. I like nice bright colors when going bohemian but a mason jar filled with greenery you picked from the yard would work just fine here too.

Rose golds always work well in this style. Gather any candle holders, glassware, and vases you have in this metal then fill in any missing areas with maybe a bronze or gold. Again nothing has to be matching and actually shouldn’t be!

Mix up your placemats and your flatware. Here I used both simple white dinner plates and more ornate blue and white printed plates. What ties it all together and gives it cohesiveness is the fact that I used the same linen napkins and a touch of this lavender wax flower on each place setting.

Also adding in different textures helps create some interest. I used gold milk bottles and gold etched cylinder vases to hold the flower arrangements. I created a recipe similar to this arrangement here. This will help with the number of flowers you’d need to buy in order to recreate something similar.

I hope you found these tips for creating a bohemian style table scape helpful. Consider this style the next time you find yourself hosting a last minute get together!
